
Have you ever admired heavily textured art yarns and wondered how to get started making some yourself? Or have you wanted gorgeous batts to use for a felting project but not known how to make them? In this class, we will be learning how to use a drum carder to create gorgeous art batts that are full of color and texture out of various fibers and mix-ins. You'll be able to use many different types of fiber in a myriad of colors as well as mix-ins ranging from angelina (fiber glitter) and strands of sari silk to feathers and yarn clippings to create your own one-of-a-kind art batt!

Materials fee: $10 per oz of finished batt - cash, credit card, venmo, or paypal (to be paid on day of workshop)
Materials supplied by teacher: Various types of fiber (wool, alpaca, camel, silk, bamboo, etc) in a plethora of colors as well as a wide variety of mix-ins to add texture and interest to your batts.
Materials students could bring: Please bring yourself, your imagination, and a drum carder if you have one!
