This is a great class to learn about needle felting. You will learn how to transfer a picture onto a piece of prefelt and then, using wool and felting needles, you will add the color and dimension to bring it to life. Your picture will be aprox. 8" x 10" and will be one or two dimensional. The finished picture will be ready to mat and frame. We will also discuss how to felt a picture to embellish a bag or clothing if you choose to do that.

Materials fee: $10 cash or card (collected at time of workshop)

Materials provided by instructor: Instructor will supply all the items that are necessary to make your picture. These will include a foam felting surface, needles, prefelt, wool and examples of landscapes and other pictures suitable for beginner felters. You will need to put it in a frame if that's how you want to display it.

Students should bring: Bring a felting pad if you already have one at least 9" x 12". Bring any picture you would like to paint: landscapes are popular for beginners, but flowers, birds and butterflies have also been good subjects. Print out your picture if possible in color, it is easier that trying to work from your phone.
