Knit for Food Knit-a-thon 2024

On Saturday, March 23, Local Cloth will be knitting around the clock (from 9am to 9pm) for FOOD!

We are participating in the 4th annual Knit-for-Food Knit-a-thon, a 12-hour knitting (or any other fiber / crafting practice) marathon to raise money and awareness for food insecurity in the United States. Since 2022, the one-day event has raised more than $1 million! All proceeds go to support these four organizations: Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, Team No Kid Hungry, and Meals on Wheels.

Join Us

• From 9am to 1pm, we will be at the Asheville Chamber of Commerce. 
• From 1pm - 5pm we will situate ourselves in the River Arts District at The Grind (346 Depot St). 
• From 5pm - 9pm, we will be at the Local Cloth Studio located at 408 Depot Street, #100. Please register for this period--we want to have enough pizza for you!
