This class will help you focus on what you want to get across through photos of your work and how to make that come across in your pictures. Good pictures can make or break or break an opportunity. Learn how to create the right picture for the right opportunity. For an example, a photo that may be ideal for Etsy may not appropriate for a gallery photo. Learn about different types and styles and how to make your work excel in a photo. In the afternoon we will take pictures of your own work and compare it what is effective.

Homework before you come to Class:

1. Look at pictures on: Etsy, Nicolemcconville.com, shopcraftcouncil.org/pages/fiber-textiles, Artfulhome.com

2. Pick up a (Local, free) art magazine (i.e. Asheville Made, Bold)

Class will run from 9am-1pm and 2pm-5pm with an hour lunch break in between.

Materials provided by instructor: Photo equipment, Photos

Students should bring: Camera or phone with camera, any pictures of your current pictures your work you have, small piece of work to photograph
