Medium Print: Eco Print with color

Take the next step in eco-printing through the addition of color. In this second eco-printing workshop we will use both natural and commercial dyes and apply them to silk printed with botanicals. Participants will finish samples, a silk scarf and a large piece of raw silk. Students are encouraged to bring a variety of leaves and/or flowers for experimentation.

This workshop is paired with the August 11 Intro to Eco print class. While it is not necessary to take both classes, they work well together giving students a full range of techniques in eco print dyeing.

Materials Fee: $35 for silk scarf, raw silk noil yardage, additional silks, dyes, some botanicals, bundling materials
