We’ve all followed patterns, measured correctly, created and tailored fabrics into garments and been disappointed in the fit and flow. We discuss how each element - from fiber selection through the final hand finishing – determines the fit of the garment, with special emphasis on fiber selection, fiber preparation, spinning, yarn selection, fabric drape, knitted gauge and woven sett. We discuss how to modify patterns and create your own. Bring garments and yarns that haven’t worked for deconstruction, and something that fits well to copy.
