Natural Dye Interest Group

This month we will be taking advantage of the flower that heralds spring: the daffodil. This flower produces a lovely yellow and with a post dye modification of iron will also give green.  Harvest yellow daffodils 3-4 days before the dye group and soak just the flowers in water. Bring pre-mordanted samples to dye. Remember that we only dye small samples, not large pieces of fabric or garments. Also please try to source some plants to bring since we need quite a lot for the dye pot.
