This half-day Introduction to Weaving class covers the basics of weaving through the process of creating a handmade color block bookmark on a small lap frame loom (which you can take anywhere!). During the class, we’ll cover how to load a shuttle, warp a loom, and some of the basic weaving techniques, including twining, tabby and weaving in ends, which will help set you up for future weaving projects. You’ll leave the class with your very own bookmark! New to weaving? Don’t have a loom or weaving materials? No worries! This intro class is the perfect entry point to dip your toe. And, my Beginner’s Lap Loom Weaving Kit has everything you need to get started! Learn more in the Materials Section.

As part of our Learn a New Sill in January, all of our classes have been discounted by 24% !
