As part of Local Cloth’s September Sustainability Series, this basic weaving class will show you how to transform all those leftover yarn and fabric scraps into art! During the class, we’ll cover the basics of how to weave using a lap loom (which you can take anywhere) and how to weave an inlay pattern that incorporates your scraps. By the end of the class, you'll complete (or be well on your way to complete) your own "scrap-tastic" tapestry This class is a great for beginners as well as folks who have some knowledge of weaving to learn more with new techniques like inlay. Don’t have a loom? The Weaving Kit has everything you need to get started!
