International Women's Day Drop In

We will have FREE a Drop-In from 12:00 pm to 7:30 pm to celebrate International Women's Day. Come when you can and stay as long as you want to. Bring some handwork (we’ll have some supplies if that’s holding you back). Let’s share stories.*  Fiber and textile arts are often passed to us from family members and friends—we all have stories about how we learned to knit or why we weave or spin, and those stories usually are about other women in our lives and the impact they have had on our fiber arts journey. There just might be snacks. Everyone is welcome.

From noon to 5pm, there will be opportunities to do some embroidering with Rose Brinkmann, watch a quilting demo, visibly mend holes in your clothes with Peggy Newell (bring something that needs work!), participate in the Malawi Menstrual Pad Project with Lynne Noble, and then from 5 on, knit with the Night Knitting Crew led by Judi Jetson and Mary Euler.

 *  For the introverts among us, we are welcome to work silently and do our thing.

FREE to both members and non-members! Registration is recommended.
