Handmade buttons make the garment! Match your threads or your fabric or use a great contrasting color to really spiff up your work. Buttons can also be used to embellish shawls and scarves, bags and hats. This button class will introduce Shirtwaist buttons. We will make two types of shirtwaist buttons, time permitting.

You will need two rings - 1" diameter - made of a hard plastic or brass or something sturdy. You will need embroidery floss, or other thread / yarn that is not too stretchy or too slick. Scissors, a small binder clip, and sandpaper round out the materials needed. If you have your own materials, there is no materials fee.
