Third Thursday with Camille Daunno

Join us on the evening of the Third Thursday for a demonstration by textile designer and fiber artist Camille Daunno.

She has worked over 40 years in several areas of fiber art from teaching, designing textile patterns for fabric and wallpaper, to hand painting and designing fabric.

Camille will be giving a demonstration for two of the classes she will be teaching in the Fall.

She'll show examples of her resist felted bowls, felted scarves, painted silk pieces with wax resist and combined painting overlays. In the first demonstration, guests will see how she prepares the wool to be felted and show the supplies needed to complete a piece and will have the opportunity to touch and feel her work. 

In the silk painting demonstration, Camille will also prepare the silk to be painted then waxed and overlayed again using paper cut stencils and designs. She will talk about the dyes and supplies used as well as techniques for creating beautiful hand dyed and designed pieces of silk.
