Introduction to Silk Painting with Acid Dyes and Soy Wax

 Experience the joy of the ancient art form of painting on silk… create amazing patterns and designs as the dyes flow across the silk. No previous experience necessary.

Part One: Learn the principals and basics of painting on silk. We will create samples and complete 1-2 small scarves. 

Part Two: Continue expanding your skills with Faux Batik technique using soy wax, alcohol, water and salt to create and finish 1-2 silk scarves 14”x72” 

Materials fee: $30

Instructor provided materials: Silk to sample, scarves, dyes, and professional steaming to finish the work.

Student should bring: Your imagination, gloves preferred, apron and lunch
